Free movement of persons and workers in the EU and their correlation Abstract This thesis is focused on one of the fundamental freedoms of the internal market. This is the free movement of persons and workers, which define the fundamental right of every citizen of the European Union. The thesis focuses on the free movement of persons and workers from the point of view of theory and practice, with emphasis on the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. The subject of the thesis is to map the issue of free movement of persons and workers from the evolution of this freedom, the introduction of citizenship of the EU and the consolidating Directive 2004/38, the definition of worker, to the current situation in the light of covid-19 crisis, that had a huge impact on the freedom of movement. The aim of the thesis is to look at the free movement of persons and workers from the point of view of their correlation and compare their rights. The thesis is divided into 4 chapters, where the first chapter is focused on the historical development of freedom of movement of persons and includes a subchapter dealing with citizenship of the EU. Employment of the Czech Republic citizens in other EU member states

The Employment of the Czech citizens in other member states of the European Union The basic aim of my thesis is to analyze possibilities of Czech citizens seeking job in other member states of European Union. The enlargement of EU in 2004 and 2007 opened borders to labour markets of the old EU countries for citizens of new member states. Czech citizens are able to search for a job in most of the states of EU except of Germany and Austria. In my work I concentrate especially on research of United Kingdom. It is a country that opened the labour market for Czech citizens the day our accession to European Union. My thesis is divided into seven chapters. In the first three chapters I analyze the right of free movement of persons, workers and right of settlement. I concentrate on the development from the historical point of view. I also mention the European legislation related to the free movement right. The fourth chapter explains the migration, and the potential of Czech migrant workers. I also describe the reasons for Czech foreign migration. In the fifth chapter I focus on the employment of Czech citizens in other member states in general. Labour force mobility of citizens of the Czech republic within the countries of the European Union in 2016

The bachelor thesis provides a comprehensive insight into the issue of mobility of Czech citizens within the European Union. The theoretical part deals with basic theoretical approaches to migration, the brief development of the European Union's common migration policy and employment policy, including the current instruments supporting labour migration and the legal definition of free movement of workers. The practical part contains statistical data and results of the research, of which primary objective is to find out the current approach of Czech citizens to the possibility of working abroad. Primarily, it reveals and explains the main motivational factors and, on the other hand, the most significant obstacles for Czech citizens to make a decision to leave their homeland for work in foreign countries, including factors that have a significant influence on their motivation or obstacles.

The Concept of Worker in the European Law

The author in its Dissertation thesis deals with the concept of worker under the free movement rights in EU law. Following the introduction, the thesis itself focuses on the positive and negative delimitation of the concept. One of the core chapters of the "positive part" tries to find an answer on the research question whether any "Keck-like" principle exists as a criterion for defining obstacles to the free movement of workers. The aim of the chapter is to find an answer what shall be subsumed under the obstacles to free movement of workers and what are Member States left with to regulate freely on their territories. In regard with the negative delimitation of the concept, the author deals with the diversion between workers and non-economically active citizens of the EU. The core chapter deals with the growing tendency of Union citizens to move to the host Member States to study while retaining the status of a worker.

Labour Market and Free Movement of Labour (European Union and Great Britain case study)

The graduation thesis Labour Market and Free Movement of Labour (European Union and Great Britain case study) describes the recent situation in the European and British labour markets. It concentrates on impact of financial crisis on labour markets. Then, it monitors the trends of free movement of labour in the European Union and assesses the impact of opening of labour markets on individual economies. Finally, the British migration system is analysed. The changes in migration to Great Britain after 2004 are outlined and new points based system is introduced. The impact of migrant workers on british economy is evaluated.

The Limitation of Entering the French Labour Market for Czech Citizens

This thesis focuses on a broad issue of labour migration from the view of the European Union where the subject is treated by the right of free movement of workers. This study is mostly oriented on the impact of entering the Czech Republic into European Union on Czech workers and therefore their right of free movement in labour market of every member state. The main aim of this thesis is to follow the reaction of France to enlargement of the European Union in area of free movement of workers, evaluate the sens of the transition period established for new members and to note the progressional opening of the French labour market for these states. The goal of the study is to evaluate this opening of French labour market for Czech workers.

Hindrances to Free Movement of Workers in European Court of Justice Cases

The aim of my thesis is to acquaint the reader with the problematic of free movement of workers, both from the theoretical point of view and from practical point of view based on the European Court of Justice cases. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I focus on the characteristics of internal market and definition of free movement of persons and workers. I mention individual law regulations that significantly influence the problematic of free movement of persons. Further, I describe different exceptions from free movement of workers, mutual recognition of academic qualifications and social security regarding the movement of workers. And at last in my practical part, I analyze individual cases of ECJ which have had the most significant impact on the development of free movement of workers.
